Portside was founded by Wendy Hille, whose love for interiors began with collecting one-of-a-kind vintage finds and styling her own home. Her love of neutral, bright interiors shines through in a clean, classic style. What started as a passion for creating warm, inviting spaces soon grew into a full-fledged business — blending interior decorating and staging services with a curated shop of hand-picked goods. From styling shelves and sourcing unique décor to reimagining entire rooms, she built Portside on the idea that design should feel personal, inspiring, and livable.
From an early age, Wendy was drawn to art and design. She spent 18 years as an elementary art teacher before leaving the classroom in 2014 to pursue her passion for furnishings, gifts, and décor. For years, she ran her beloved brick-and-mortar shop Portside, before evolving the business into Portside Home — an online destination for thoughfully curated furnishings, decor, gifts and her favorite line of Farm + Sea products.
Her work extends beyond the shop. If you’ve followed the restoration of her own home on Instagram @white_brick_house_, you’ve seen Wendy’s eye for detail in action. Through Portside Interior Styling Services, she brings that same creativity to clients — offering everything from real estate staging and room layouts to full-service home styling, sourcing, delivery, and project management.
When she’s not designing or sourcing unique pieces, Wendy can be found enjoying life by the coast with her sweet yellow lab, Hooper.
